Whirlpool is the American workhorse. Predictable parts, honest engineering, easy to service. We probably have a Whirlpool job on every truck every day of the week. Below is what we see most across the Cabrio, Duet, Gold and Estate lines.
The shifter assembly (W10913953) is the leading failure on Cabrio and Bravos top-loaders. The plastic plunger inside the shifter wears, and the motor cannot engage spin. We stock the shifter; replacement takes about ninety minutes start to finish.
The original Duet line aged into bearing failures around year seven to nine. Repair is a four-hour bench job. We will run the math on repair versus replacement before you commit.
This is the most common Whirlpool fridge motor we replace. Failure presents as fridge warm, freezer fine, with a slight whine before death. We carry the part.
F1 stuck key, F2 oven over-temperature, F3 sensor open, F4 sensor short. We replace touch panels and sensors with OE parts.
| Repair | Typical total |
|---|---|
| Cabrio shifter replacement | $245 to $325 |
| Duet bearing rebuild | $385 to $480 |
| W10312695 evaporator fan | $185 to $245 |
| Oven touch panel | $310 to $445 |
| Dishwasher pump and motor | $245 to $345 |
Parts are cheap, parts are available, parts are interchangeable across the Whirlpool family (Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir). If you are weighing brands for a new install, a Whirlpool platform is the easiest brand to own from a future-repair-cost perspective.
Since Whirlpool and Maytag share most parts, see also our Maytag page. For the broader washer playbook visit the washer service page.
